The Ned Ludd, bar and restaurant (owned & operated by Great Northern Inns) showcases fine craft beers, real ales and real ciders paired with stunning, locally sourced, artisan food. The Luddites knew a thing or two about mass-produced stuff of inferior quality, they didn’t like it and neither do we.
We have 14 craft beers and 4 real ales on draught and lots more in bottles so there’s plenty to chose from - craft ales include some exclusive to the bar and cask ales from Navigation Brewery and other local breweries. There are no factory made beers on Ned’s bar, customers are guided to something to enjoy both as a drink and as a new experience. Lager drinkers love the award-winning craft lager from Camden Town Brewery and craft beer drinkers get a treat with beers being sourced from all over the world.
The menu concentrates on high quality, locally sourced artisan food, done simply but using imagination with beer, cider or wine matched to each dish. Every day starts at 10am (except Sundays at 9am) with a full breakfast menu followed by afternoon teas, small plate dishes, sharing platters, sliders and large dish selections with something for everyone.
The Ned Ludd also offers a quintessential and seasonal British cocktail list as well as a thoughtfully devised reduced wine list to suit all palettes with free live music in the snug area and the wonderful idea of a proper ale house with a 2am licence at weekends
